First minute
Confirm the venue facts before changing the guest's device.
Most guests need one clear instruction, not a networking lecture.
- Confirm the official guest network name.
- Confirm the current sign-in method and any voucher or room requirement.
- Ask the guest to join that network and open the plain rescue address.
- Keep all credentials on the venue's own portal.
Operator check
Know when the venue owns the next action.
If the portal times out, loops, rejects valid details, or fails for more than one device, stop asking the guest to reset settings. Check portal health, upstream connectivity, session state, device limits, vouchers, and support notices.
Privacy boundary
Do not move guest secrets into the support workflow.
Staff should not ask guests to send portal screenshots containing room details, vouchers, email addresses, payment information, full IP addresses, or device identifiers unless an approved support process truly requires and protects that data.
